The Capsulae bot
Last updated 29 September 2026
Capsulae is an app for following a curated list of independent fashion designers. To show their new arrivals and restocks, an automated reader visits each brand's public online shop. This page says what it is, how to recognise it, and how to reach us.
What it does
It reads public product information, the same a visitor sees in the shop: the name of a piece, its price, its photos, the sizes available. Every piece shown in Capsulae links to the brand's own shop, and that is where it is bought.
- Capsulae sells nothing and takes no payment.
- It never signs in, fills a form, adds to a cart or reaches a checkout.
- What it reads is not used to train any AI model.
How to recognise it
- User-Agent:
Capsulae/1.0 (+https://capsulae.app) - Every request is signed with HTTP Message Signatures (Web Bot Auth). Our public key is
published at
https://capsulae.app/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory
A request that carries our name without a valid signature does not come from us.
What it respects
- It obeys robots.txt.
- It keeps a slow pace and backs off whenever a shop asks it to.
- It only reads pages that are public.
If you run a brand
If you would like your shop left out, or shown differently, write to us and we will do it. No reason needed.
